Government heavily subsidizes college education (loans, grants, scholarships). What % of high school graduates should the government help attend college?
100% - this is a basic human right
50% - not everyone is cut out to succeed in college
25% - that's enough to fill the jobs that need that education
10% - plumbers and truck drivers don't need a college degree
2% - it should be very hard to get into college so children are motivated
The government should not be involved in this at all
I don't have any children so this doesn't concern me.
If the economy doesn't recover, this is an obvious thing to cut
