Vermont was not one of the 13 original colonies. Why was that?

That's a lie! Vermont was one of the 13 original colonies
The people want to remain an English colony
There weren't enough people to form a state
New Hampshire said Vermont was part of New Hampshire
"Live free or die" - That pretty much says it all
The other states didn't want them to join
Vermont was claimed by New York
The land was claimed by France
Nobody invited them to the Constitutional Convention
The British had burned the entire state to the ground
