Phil observes that the media changed the question from "How many houses do You and your wife own" to "how many houses do you own?". Since the bulk of their wealth is hers, it's very likely that John doesn't know how his wife has her money invested from moment to moment. If she is part owner in a REIT, is she an "owner" of the houses in the trust?
