Hosts suggest that the caller turn off the security warnings to make the warning go away. We have a pattern now of REALLY BAD ADVICE. | artstone Fix Reply to Delete |
Sun Jul 27th 2008 1:46 AM | Conversation: One thing that might be at work here is the "DNS cache poisoning" exploit which has now surfaced - the reason the church's web site might appear (to some people) to be a hacker web site is that it was hijacked using an inaccurate DNS lookup | artstone Fix Reply to Delete |
Sun Jul 27th 2008 9:26 AM | Conversation: Another stupid thing they did - when the caller reported the possibly compromised web site that Google says installs trojans without asking permission, not only did they announce the URL over the air, the hosts took the computers in their studio and visited the web site. That potentially could have compromised all of the computers on the entire network of radio stations owned by WJR's owner (Citadel/ABC). [One of them was using a Mac, so that probably was safe] | artstone Fix Reply to Delete |
