Sun Jul 13th 2008 5:50 PM | Conversation: Usenet was a useful technology 10 years ago before everyone was on broadband and p2p file sharing became common. Most ISPs stopped offering Usenet in any serious way about 5 years ago. The internet is a global business and there are dozens of companies that offer individual subscriptions to Usenet that don't have a business presence in New York.
