Topic: Ray is speaking about Dr. Rubini who predicted doom in the markets and Dr. Schiller (who joined the doom and gloom). We listen to such advice, but smart money doesn't follow it. If so, the DOW should have been at 5,000 today. Remember investments are generally for the long term. To take drastic action over the short term can be very dangerous.briand75

Topic: Ray explains capital gains tax and the rate. The actual gain is part of your income, but is only taxed once - at the capital gains rate. This applies for long term (1 year and 1 day). Short term capital gains are taxed at your income bracket rate.briand75
